Gloves and eye protection every cut. Two hands whenever the branch allows. Battery out before any adjustment.
Hand guard on every Hi9Tools mini

One-hand chainsaw safety: the 7 rules.

The rules

  1. Two hands whenever the branch allows; reserve one-hand cuts for braced, below-shoulder work.
  2. Gloves and eye protection, every cut, no exceptions.
  3. Check chain tension before each session — a loose chain derails.
  4. On overhead cuts, let the bottom of the bar pull away from you.
  5. Never cut above shoulder height from a ladder.
  6. Let the motor do the work; forcing stalls the chain and heats the bar rail.
  7. Battery out before any chain adjustment, bar swap or cleaning.

FAQ
